Thame

Back

Thame has to be strategically one of the best locations in which to live if you are looking for the ultimate connectivity to London,  and you have the peaceful rural landscape that Oxfordshire is rightly famous for on your doorstep. This very attractive provincial town derives its name from the River Thame that flows to the north and it sits on the Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire border, with Aylesbury to the East and world renowned Oxford to the North. London Marylebone has a fast connection via Hadenham Parkway Station on the periphery of Thame and the M40 Motorway sits close at hand also, which allows access south to London and also North to the Midlands. Seemingly a magnet for residents of a creative, literary and musical nature the poet and playwright W.B. Yeats live here, Bee Gee Robin Gibb lived here until his premature passing, and national treasure and home grown composer Howard Goodall also chose Thame as his home. The picturesque heart of the town offers shopping from the “boutique” right through to Waitrose. There is also a health club, a successful Rubgy Club and a championship golf club close by in the form of The Oxfordshire. Perhaps the perfect provincial town in which to invest?
